Shenzhen, as the core hub city for the development of the GBA, is also known as the capital of entrepreneurship with its excellent geographical location, strong entrepreneurial atmosphere and various supporting policies. According to Shenzhen’s Work Plan for Strengthening the Construction of Hong Kong and Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base, young people from Hong Kong and Macao who come to Shenzhen to start a business can apply for a subsidy of 100,000 RMB for self-employment, a subsidy of 30,000 RMB for promoting employment by entrepreneurship, and a three-year interest-free loan of 300,000 RMB for entrepreneurship. All these aim to help the young talents from Hong Kong and Macao achieve their dreams in Shenzhen. Shenzhen has also created a public welfare incubation space — GBA Youth Entrepreneurship (Employment) Camp for Hong Kong and Macao youth to start a business in Shenzhen.
Beginner Assistance
Led by Hangcheng Sub-district of Bao’an District, the GBA Youth Entrepreneurship (Employment) Camp is a pure public welfare incubation space that provides 3-9 months of free office space for GBA youth, high-quality talents and overseas returnees. In addition, the GBA Youth Entrepreneurship (Employment) Camp has also established cooperation with 19 service alliances to provide entrepreneurial services such as policy interpretation, commercial matchmaking, talent certification, finance, taxation and legal affairs for the resident teams. Since the very beginning, the GBA Youth Entrepreneurship (Employment) Camp has worked together with the service alliances to solve problems for more than 100 youth entrepreneurs, including corporate bank accounts opening and trademark registration services matchmaking, etc.
Achievements
Since its opening in July 2020, the GBA Youth Entrepreneurship (Employment) Camp has nearly 60 resident startup teams, covering the industries such as intelligent manufacturing, electronic information and e-commerce. The GBA Youth Entrepreneurship (Employment) Camp is positioned as “the first stop for talent entrepreneurship and employment services in GBA”, and has held over 20 activities targeting real needs of the resident teams for entrepreneurship, including corporate bank accounts opening, trademark registration services matchmaking, etc., and instructed the resident teams to participate in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, assisting them to achieve numerous excellent results.
