Conclusion of the 2021 Bank of China Jilin International Alpine/Snowboard Challenge: Say Goodbye to the Successful Ice and Snow Party and Be together at the 2022 Winter Olympics

The 2021 Bank of China Jilin International Alpine/Snowboard Challenge (hereinafter referred to as the “Alpine Ski Challenge”) has officially come to an end at Jilin Beidahu Ski Resort on December 26.

The Alpine Ski Challenge was founded and held first by the Jilin Province Sports Bureau in 2020, and it is dedicated to creating a high-quality ice and snow sports project in Jilin, a demonstration project of the Jilin ice and snow industry and a promotion project for Jilin’s ice and snow culture. The 2021 game was included in the series events of “National Fitness for a Vital China” hosted by the All-China Sports Federation, organized by Jilin Province Sports Bureau and jointly undertaken by its subordinate institutions and municipal sports departments under the guidance of the China Ski Association.

Since Alpine Ski Challenge has been launched in November 27th at Changbai Mountain International Ski Resort, Changchun Miaoxiang Mountain Ski Resort, Wanfeng Tonghua Ski Resort, Yanji Mundum Ski Resort and Jilin Beidahu Ski Resort, nearly 1,500 skiers came to play.

After fierce competition, DU Jinlun won the championship of the professional men’s giant slalom with a total of 390 points, and HUANG Linlin earned the overall championship of the professional women’s giant slalom with a total of 285 points. WANG Qiyu ranked 1st in the amateur men’s giant slalom group, and LI Yanxin won in the amateur women’s game. WANG Lei (male) and ZHANG Ying (female) earned the championships in the amateur parallel giant slalom games. According to the competition rules, the champion of total points in each category will receive RMB10,000 cash prize.

“Enjoy yourself in Jilin and help the Winter Olympics.” Jilin will take the Beijing Winter Olympics as an opportunity to give full play to its advantage of snow and ice resources, take multiple measures to promote the development of the “snow and ice +” industry, and strive to build Jilin into a strong snow and ice sports province, aiming to construct a “4+X” modern snow and ice economic system with its cores of snow and ice tourism, sports, culture and equipment, supported by snow and ice technology, talent, trade and other industries in order to “attract 300 million people to participate in snow and ice sports” and contribute more in the growth of the snow and ice industry.
